The majority of the dolmens in Montseny have been found on
La Serra de l'Arca, between Aiguafreda and El Brull, they
date back to the end of the Neolithic period, around the second
millennium before Christ. The dolmens are Megalithic sepulchres
where the dead were buried, surrounded by their weapons and
a few offerings. The word dolmen comes from the Breton expression
“tol men” which means stone roof.
