MONTCLÚS

The Castle of Montclús was one of the main castles of the Montseny area. Its strategic position over Palautordera, dominated the entrance to the Valley of Tordera. Its construction dates back to sometime during the 11th century, although there was a building on the site previously. Today a tower with an adjoining chamber is all that remains as evidence.
