The terrifying and shadowy landscape of the Black Pool has perhaps been responsible for the fact that the location is filled with dark tales. Witches and wizards went there to dance, and later, when they went up to celebrate the Sabbath on the Plain of the Witches, it was the Devil himself who bathed in the black waters of the pool.
