Since 1987, the Montseny has been twinned with the National Park of Cévennes (France), and since 1994 with the International Park of Friendship (Costa Rica and Panama), both parks have also been declared biosphere reserves and quarterly action programmes are maintained with them, which have resulted in the development of various projects of co-operation.
