BETWEEN THE MEDITERRANEAN AND
CENTRAL EUROPE
The Montseny is a voyage between the Mediterranean and Central
Europe. The variations of moisture and temperature which occur
as altitude increases result in the distribution of plant
life in ringed formations which surround the massif at different
altitudes, and are known as “vegetation habitats”.
In a few kilometres the changes in scenery which take place
between Mediterranean woods and those of Central Europe can
be seen.
