Mountain of Matagalls

The peak of El Matagalls is to be found between the Turó de l’Home, Les Agudes and La Calma. It dominates the whole Tordera basin on one side, and the flatlands of the Plana de Vic on the other.

From the summit of El Matagalls, at an altitude of 1697 metres, one can see from the Pyrenees to the sea. Around a dozen different paths lead to the top, some of them marked. On its shaded slopes the beech woods welcome visitors, and in the autumn are clad in copper colours.
