La Calma

La Calma is a high plateau at an altitude of over 1000 metres, featuring open spaces to be found nowhere else in Montseny. Some are covered by broad heathlands of broom, bracken fern and heather. A walk here inspires a sense of peace and solitude, while offering magnificent views of the peaks of the Turó de l’Home, Les Agudes and El Matagalls. To the south, the vista includes the uplands of Sant Llorenç del Munt and Montserrat.

Man has left his mark on these lands since time immemorial, and one will still see herds of sheep, goats and cows out to pasture on the meadows.
