Riells del Montseny, in the northern half of the area, is
a totally mountainous zone which extends along the south-west
slopes of the Montseny massif, with the peak of El Turó
de Morou, at 1,307 metres as its highest point. The entire
mountainous area is wooded, and the population is scattered
in numerous farmhouses in the south-western area of the town,
to the high valley of the Breda River.
